Marie Fukudome manages Hyatt’s global environmental stewardship platform. Her focus is on advancing Hyatt’s 2020 Environmental Sustainability Vision, which includes goals to reduce energy and water consumption, greenhouse gas emission and waste at hotels, as well as goals around sustainable buildings and supply chain. Currently she is particularly focused on sustainable seafood. Fukudome oversees Hyatt’s sustainability data tracking for measuring progress against these goals and leads Hyatt’s environmental, social governance (ESG) reporting, including preparing GRI reports and CDP submissions. Hyatt Hotels is an American multinational owner, operator and franchiser of hotels, resorts and vacation properties. The Hyatt Corporation came into being upon purchase of the Hyatt House, at Los Angeles International Airport, in 1957. It now has 679 properties in 54 countries.
